Please do not forget to send us an email with your name and address so that we can send you a receipt. When you email us please mention which project or sponsorship you are donating towards so that we can make sure your donation goes to your preferred project.

Can You Get a Tax Deduction for Your Donation?

The Children’s Health and Education Fund is in the process of applying for Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status which is the means by which the Australian Taxation Office allows deductions for certain charitable donations. When the DGR is processed, then all donations made for development purposes will be able to be claimed as a deduction. By Australian Federal Law, donations made to welfare projects or for welfare purposes cannot be claimed as a deduction.

The Children’s Health and Education Fund is itself tax-exempt under Australian Taxation Law.

SPONSOR A CHILD

The Children's Health and Education Fund identifies children in need in countries where CHEF members have direct contact in order to monitor the sponsored children. If you wish to know more you can make enquiries by writing to us at: thechildrensfund@gmail.com

Sponsoring a child at Lotus is simple. For US$120 per month you can sponsor a child and receive the details for your sponsored child directly from Mongolia. This will pay for the sponsored child's education, clothing, school materials and uniform and food. Please write to us if you would like to sponsor a child or write directly to The Lotus Children’s Centre at lotuschild@gmail.com. Sponsorships are deposited directly into the bank account of The Children’s Health and Education Fund and transferred together periodically which saves individual sponsors the cost of transfer fees each month.
